Tracking Your Referral

Urgent fast track Referrals
If you have been referred under the Fast Track pathway and have not heard from the hospital or service within the time specified on the paperwork, please contact us.

Referrals to Other Services
Once your referral has been sent, we are not able to influence waiting times or appointment booking. If you have received confirmation with contact details, please contact the service directly for updates or to arrange your appointment.

General Referral Queries
If you have any questions about an existing referral or have not received any information, please contact us.

The quickest way to get in touch is by submitting an online form via the NHS App or our website homepage. Select “I have an admin or routine care request” and then “Referral follow-up.”

Practice Plus Group (PPG) Referrals

Once a referral has been made to Practice Plus Group, please contact the following services directly to discuss your appointment or referral.

Patient Advice & Liaison Services (PALS)

PALS is a free and confidential service that provides help when it is needed.

Members of the PALS team act independently when they are handling patient and family concerns/queries.  They liaise with staff, managers and, where appropriate, the relevant organisations to negotiate immediate or prompt solutions. 

PALS can help you with:

  • Advice and information
  • Comments and suggestions 
  • Compliments
  • Informal complaints and advise with formal complaints
  • Chasing Referrals and appointments

If the PALS team are unable to answer your questions, they will put you in contact with the relevant person or department who can assist you further.
