"Healthier lives, stronger communities"
Who are Friends of Berrycroft?

We are a charity set up to pioneer and support healthy living activities in the Berrycroft Community Health Centre area in Aylesbury.  Our charity trustees are Dr Jacqueline Harris (Chair), Dr Phil Clayton (Secretary), Sue Clowe (Treasurer), Richard Byford, Dr Hend Moussa and Anne McLoughlin. We also have two student trustees from Aylesbury High School.

What do we do?

We were born out of Berrycroft Community Health Centre. We fundraise and provide grants to projects which will enable people in the Berrycroft area to live longer, healthier lives which are full and meaningful.  This might be activities at Berrycroft Community Health Centre, projects outside the health centre, or special equipment for the health centre.

Our current local projects:
- Community Allotment at Crown Leys: an exciting collaboration between FoB, Aylesbury Town Council, Aylesbury Central Primary Care Network (an NHS body) and The Rothschild Foundation.
- Aylesbury TeenRun: a collaboration between FoB and Bearbrook Running and Triathlon Club - a new completely free teenage running club for 13-19 year olds in NW Aylesbury. See Aylesbury TeenRun | Bearbrook Running & Triathlon Club
- BAG Project: Hend is visiting local junior schools and teaching healthy cooking in school time
- WOMAN Project: we are setting up a private local martial arts group for Asian women

Why?

Berrycroft area includes some of the neediest areas of Buckinghamshire, and many of our residents can't afford fancy gyms and diet programmes, but we want to make good health accessible to everyone.  So, we are looking for ways to make a difference by providing healthy living activities and services that go beyond what the NHS can provide.

How can you get involved?

You can donate, fundraise or volunteer as a Trustee or assistant.  You might have an idea for an activity or service that would improve the health and well-being of your friends and neighbours.  If you are inspired to join us in our work, please email us at enquiries@friendsofberrycroft.org or leave a message for Dr Phil Clayton at Berrycroft Community Health Centre.

Friends of Berrycroft is powered by a group of unpaid volunteers. Therefore every penny of giving goes to local frontline projects!
